Registration and Conditions

Registration for the conference is by invitation only. If you would like to attend the 2025 edition, please contact one of the members of the organizing committee.

You then can apply to participate and the organizing committee will select participants based on a catalog of criteria such as research topic, seniority, geographical diversity, gender balance. We will admit approximately 55 participants from academia, 25 from industry and 17 JSP that will together with the speakers and the OC members complete the audience of 125 participants

Conference fees and accommodation (incl. VAT)

+ CHF 1'730  charge to industrial participations to support the JSP Program (reduces charge to smaller companies/startups

Accompanying persons and additional nights are charged at net cost.

The cost of accommodations for participants in the JSP program will be covered by the surcharge for industrial participants and sponsors. However, a basic contribution of CHF 100 will be charged

There are no offers for shortened participation periods, as we expect all participants to stay the full time.

The number of participants is limited and the organizing committee will confirm participation if places are still available. In selecting participants, attention will be paid to broad geographical diversity, gender balance and a good mix of experienced researchers and members of the community at the beginning of their careers.

Cancellation Policy for Registrations

Hotel fees will be refunded as follows:
100% for cancellations before January 31, 2025
  50% for cancellations before February 28, 2025
no refund of hotel costs and JSP contributions for cancellations after March 1, 2025 if no replacement can be found.

The conference fee (CHF 400) is refunded completly until March 31, 2025.

Payment conditions
If the invoice is not paid within 30 days after the confirmation of registration or the payment is not announced at the SCS Office at that time, the organizer reserves the right to exclude the participant and to cancel the registration.
In any case, the payment must be made by 31.01.2025 at latest.

Alteration or Cancellation of the Conference
The organizers reserve the right to change the venue and/or the program of the conference without financial refund as long as the duration and quality of the lectures are guaranteed.

The organizers reserve the right to cancel the conference in case of any unpredictable event. In the event of such a cancellation, the organizers will refund any registration fees paid, and this refund shall be the full extent of the organizers’ liability to the delegate arising out of such cancellation. In case of cancellation, the organizer can not compensate for travel expenses.

The organizers cannot accept any liability for personal injuries or for loss or damage to property belonging to the delegates, either during, or as a result of the conference. Please check the validity of your own personal insurance before traveling.
All conference attendees, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors are solely responsible for the content of any and all individual or corporation presentations and online web content.

Privacy Statement
The information given to the organizers will be recorded in the organizers’ databases and will be used for administration purposes. The collected data underlies the Swiss Data Protection law.
The organizers may take photographs, and include any of these photographs on its websites.
You are not permitted to record any part of the presentations or to take pictures of slides.
